The HDR is a wireless accessory solution used in conjunction with handheld mobile and portable communications or computing platform devices. Whereas the accessory device provides a secure multifunctional authentication service integrated with trusted data storage capability.

The accessory device comprises of the following integrated elements:
-Biometric Authentication Module
-OCR Reader
-RFID Antenna and Reader
-Secure Access Module
-Wireless Communications Module
-Internal and Removable Data Storage Modules

The HDR solution also includes a hardware agnostic software application that resides on the handheld mobile or portable communications or computing platform device. The solution enables the authentication of both individuals and their associated issued credentials as well as the validation that the individual presenting the issued credentials is the actual holder.

The accessory device enables this operation to occur using any Windows® equipped handheld mobile and portable communications or computing platform devices. The authentication of the individual occurs thru both biometric and demographic data search and match functionality. To ensure maximum security an encrypted wireless connection is utilized between the HDR accessory and the handheld mobile and portable communications or computing platform devices.

This is accomplished thru hardware and software in the accessory device and software deployed on the handheld portable and mobile communications or computing platform device. The wireless communications between the accessory device and the handheld mobile and portable communications or computing platform devices can be of any protocol and technology.

The encryption protection is an autonomous layer to the actual communications protocol or technology used. Asset Management is provided using the HDR System Manager Software which allows users to manage the pairing of accessory devices and handheld mobile and portable communications or computing platform devices as well as the issuance of these paired sets to the users.

As the HDR accessory accommodates local databases the System Manager Software allows users to manage and control any data that is downloaded to the accessory device from a central database.
